light, water
dancing
for nobody’s pleasure but their own
12.12.09 – Chado
the process of capturing moments
light, water
dancing
for nobody’s pleasure but their own
12.12.09 – Chado
serenity fills us
when we least expect it
following some unseen pattern
pay attention to the light;
be aware
you are part of something
come closer, don’t fear
we were one
before we were conceived.
12 Dec. ‘09 – Chado
bring me
satisfaction,
drop your heart
into mine,
hear it hit the riverbed
feel it grow,
fill
taste the water overflowing
you are the sweetest thing
this side of
summer days,
the singing sound
of sun on ripples
you refresh me.
12 Dec. ‘09 – Chado
calmness in a cup
light, flitting across the surface,
calling out to the morning
- hello where have you come from -
from the belief
at the bottom of the well
- and what for and when -
tomorrow I will bring
new stories from the void
- but how? -
breathe in
and you will know
12 Dec. ‘09 – Chado
a sip
can bring sunshine,
simple beauty
in light & water
pleasure in
the smallest part,
each drop
appreciation
lightest taste
tip of tongue
opens the window,
now my mind
can breathe.
12 Dec. ‘09 – Chado
feel the pain,
round in your hand
warm like a stone in the sun
nature made perfect days like this
for sadness
allow the mourning;
watch it mingle
in the mountain mist
you are not alone.
9 Dec. ‘09 – Chado
it tastes
like the longing in my throat,
the leftover reality
never really sinking in
of just
how
helpless
we can truly be
singing in the night.
a few hours later
watching her climb into the sky,
disappear from sight
the ground
feels arbitrary
beneath my feet;
no connection here,
my heart
cradled in her small hands
flies northward
and leaves me far behind.
9 Dec. ‘09 – Chado
watching my eyes
from yours,
the world curves around
mirrored surface
i test it with my teeth
sensing out its strength
the world outside the window
for a moment
seems faraway, a strange
giant bug, crawls slowly past
i blink, it is gone.
hallucination or premonition?
i shift in my seat
you make me restless
my ears ring
27 Nov. ‘09 – Chado
I believe
that when you are gone
we will still feel your dreams
you have become
a native nymph
sister from across the seas
you are no more foreign
than the eucalypt,
your laughter is
the spirit
of our home.
